This is the opening sentence, it is typically a random opening to help introduce the article in someway, and I don’t know what to say. So, here is the comic:
A yawn blog is just a possible step forward for our society. We are obsessed with connecting and understanding everything about one another, there are also those few who take pleasure in tearing down those little things people like to share. They are called trolls, and they are a necessity on the internet I’m afraid, they keep balance, they keep life in check. Otherwise we all just might forget that everything we say doesn’t always matter to everyone. Social Media has become a huge part of society, and no matter how much I don’t care about that sandwich you ate, I also understand the importance of social media on a business stand-point, and occasionally, I find a lot of entertainment value from those friends of mine and the things they post when being particularly clever. The thing is:

Trolls: Keeping the internet in check in a way that proves why world peace is impossible.
Apparently things like Twitter and Facebook can help promote a website, a business, and/or a product with massive success. Twitter is one of the biggest tools in the success of blogs, the thing is, I just don’t get it. I don’t understand how they work in that fashion. Honestly, I find it difficult to use Facebook for anything but like, commenting on people’s stuff, or posting some link to my work, or posting some random clever crap I came up with if I bother to actually pick up my phone, or get on a computer in order to post it. Which is incredibly rare.
Back to Twitter though, I really don’t get it. How do people attract followers if they aren’t a celebrity? I added this one guy who has tons of followers, and he must be on Twitter 24/7, posting every random thing that comes into his head at all damn times, as well as making sure to post multiple times about whatever is trending worldwide. That just seems like annoying pandering to me, and not to mention, must take up a lot of fucking time. Time I could spend writing here, or playing video games to write about here, or watching movies to write about here, or doing other things that constitute living that might inspire me to write about something here.

I looked up twitter gifs, and this was one of the first results. I couldn't resist, it's bunnies!
On top of those two sites, I have been pointed to a massive ton of other sites thanks to a couple of blog books and tip websites I’ve read over. We have aggregate sites like Digg, Delicious, and StumbleUpon that honestly I’m up in the air about how to promote with, it appears they work based on a popularity basis, the popular users have a lot of sway or power, and for the most part, new people are at a very big disadvantage. This is especially the case for Digg.
There is the social media tool Twellow that does something, I got an account, that is about as far as I got. You also have top blog sites such as Technorati, and Alltop which I do understand. I actually quite like Technorati, and it appears I don’t have to do much other than post here and gain followers. It is also a great place to find other blogs, blogs that I can comment on, because commenting on other blogs is also important to drive traffic from what I’ve read. It creates a sense of community, and community is good. As mentioned before, people enjoy connecting, if they didn’t, none of what I’ve talked about would have to exist.
The point is, I’m just learning and figuring this all out. How it works, and why it works for so many other individuals. It is all a learning experience, and one I am enjoying so far, but also am having some difficulty managing time with. I just wanted to write, I’ve learned a lot of new trades in the process though.
Oh, and you should follow me on Twitter and add me on Facebook. Maybe you can watch me figure this shit out.
